In honor of Stop Food Waste Day, Food Recovery Network (FRN) launched the first-ever partner agency relief donation fund where we committed to matching up to $1,000 of donations to partners whose areas have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
As a result of our first 24-hour campaign, we raised $300 for these hunger-fighting nonprofits.
This is just the beginning. We need your help in supporting these communities.
Please consider donating here to contribute to the continued campaign through May and June. We are grateful to have hunger-fighting nonprofit partners that make our work possible, and we are pleased to give back with the help of people like you in our movement.
FRN is collecting donations to support three hunger-fighting nonprofit partners in our network:
City Harvest in New York City, NY
Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago, IL
Pomona Valley Christian Center in Pomona, CA
“This is such wonderful and amazing news, thank you Food Recovery Network! Your incredible kindness will help support Mercy Home’s Compassionate Care effort, which is Mercy Home’s response to bring much needed life-giving services to the youth and families entrusted to our care. During these difficult times, resources are scarce for many of those in Mercy Home’s care as they have lost their jobs and their income. The goal of the Compassionate Care effort is to help those in the most need get through this crisis, lessen their anxiety, and offer them the support, nourishment and strength to get through these days. The Food Recovery Network’s actions will help make the Compassionate Care effort possible and for this we are truly grateful.” - Molly Riley, Director of Donor Relations, Mercy Home for Boys & Girls
Each of these partners work with both an FRN Chapter and a Food Recovery Verified account to serve and feed communities in need. Our goal is to raise funds to help fight hunger and feed people.
